Our Club

Snowmobile clubs are the backbone of the trail network you enjoy every time you ride, and Club Motoneige Pingouin is no exception. Founded in 1969, our club proudly maintains approximately 700 kilometres of trails across four sectors in the heart of western Quebec: Campbell’s Bay, Fort-Coulonge, Chapeau/Waltham, and Rapides-des-Joachims/Sheenboro. Like all snowmobile clubs, we are a non-profit organisation guided by a dedicated board of directors elected each spring, supported by volunteers who pour countless hours into developing and maintaining trails, installing signage, negotiating land-use agreements, and organising activities for our members. From keeping the groomers running through the night to clearing debris and ensuring every corner of the network is safe and well-marked, our team works tirelessly behind the scenes so that every ride you take is the best it can be. The primary source of funding for all of this comes directly from trail permit sales, with every dollar reinvested back into the network for maintenance, signage, bridge construction, and more. When you purchase your permit, you are not just following the law, you are directly investing in the trails you love.
